The core loop

01 / SCOUT

Explore

Stop near frozen settlements, wreckage, bunkers and deeper locations where better salvage comes with sharper risk.

02 / RECOVER

Scavenge

Gather food, fuel and ordinary objects. Weight, weather and distance decide when a full bag becomes a liability.

03 / CONVERT

Craft

Recycle salvage, build tools and weapons, repair damage and expand your carriage systems.

04 / ADVANCE

Move

Feed the Eden Engine, manage power and take your stronger mobile fortress farther into the corrupted frost.

Why the train changes everything

The armored train is shelter, transport, storage and workshop at once. Fuel its engine to push deeper into the world, reinforce walls against attack and add carriages or stations as your needs grow. Progress does not mean abandoning one base for another; it means bringing your hard-won home along the rails.

Player takeaway

Range is progression. Better heat, storage, repairs and engine capacity let you stay out longer and reach more dangerous salvage.

Survival is measured in heat and distance

Blizzards cut visibility, slow movement and turn warmth into a resource. The tension comes from knowing the safe carriage is behind you while the next room might contain exactly what makes it safer. A strong run balances exploration against a deliberate return window.

Combat protects the loop

Revenants and eldritch creatures occupy the places you need to search. Makeshift weapons get you started, but ammunition and repairs compete for scrap. Combat is not a separate arena—it is the cost of opening more of the map and carrying better supplies home.

What a typical session feels like

You prepare on the train, choose a stop, push into the storm, clear a route, strip useful locations and retreat under pressure. Back aboard, the haul becomes fuel, equipment, repairs and new infrastructure. Then the whole fortress moves to a harsher stretch of track.
