How to request access
- Open the official Frostrail Steam page.Use the real store listing, not a key reseller or unofficial form.
- Find “Join the Frostrail Playtest.”Select Request Access if the button is available. Previous registrants do not need to register again.
- Wait for Steam to confirm acceptance.Accepted players should see Frostrail Playtest in their Library and receive a Steam notification.
- Check the game page for friend invites.During this beta, an accepted tester can invite up to three friends.
A request confirmation is not an acceptance message. Check the correct Steam account and your Library filters before assuming access is missing.
How beta invitations work
The August 31 launch announcement says accepted testers can invite up to three friends from the Steam game page. Once invited friends join, they can also receive invitation capability. This is an event rule, not proof of the final game's permanent player cap.
Beta rules worth knowing
There is no NDA for this test, so players can record and stream footage. Testers can use the in-game bug report button, feedback survey and the playtest discussion area. Remember that crashes, balance changes and rough UI are the point of a beta report, not a promise about Early Access quality.
Closed Beta vs. Early Access
The Closed Beta is a limited event with an end date. Early Access is the planned public, work-in-progress release in Q4 2026. Beta acceptance does not establish the Early Access price, exact launch date or permanent access conditions.
